Kevin Davis

Who is Kevin Davis?

Kevin Davis first came to the Northern Territory in 1966 as a teacher on Elcho Island. In 1972, he became Principle of Kormilda College in Darwin.

Kevin Davis was a member of the Darwin Community College Council before being directly  appointed as Director of the newly formed Darwin Institute of Technology by the Chief Minister Ian Tuxworth in 1985.

When the Institute merged with the two-year-old University College of the Northern Territory in 1989 to create the Northern Territory University, he was appointed Deputy Vice Chancellor of the new institution.

Kevin Davis has therefore played a long and important role in Territory education and continues to support the Darwin Symphony Orchestra based at Charles Darwin University and The University Foundation.
