Richard Ryan AO
Who is Richard Ryan?
Richard Ryan is currently Deputy Chancellor and was previously Chancellor of CDU from 2003 -2009. He has been a member of the governing body of the Univeristy and its antecedent institutions since the early 1980s and has made a significant and active contribution to the development of tertiary education, both Higher Education and Vocational Education and Training, in the Northern Territory over a period of more than 30 years.
Richard Ryan played a significant role in the merger of Darwin Institute of Technology and the University College of the NT to form the Northern Territory University in 1989 - which he describes as a "history making event". His work with the University's Foundation has been an important part of the success of the Foundation's fundraising efforts.
