CDU has four major events for academics and scholars to present their work. They are:

  • Charles Darwin Scholar
  • Professorial Lecture Series
  • Austin Asche Oration in Law and Governance
  • Vincent Lingiari Lecture

These events range from featuring CDU academics through to awardees from around the globe who are experts in their relevant field.

Staying up to date with CDU news has been made easy. We have our online newsroom, where current news is found. We release our e-newsletter straight to your email inbox monthly, and we print and deliver our Origins magazine, twice a year.

Our Casuarina campus is home to Darwin's community radio station, 104.1 Territory FM.

Charles Darwin Scholar

The Charles Darwin Scholar Program is a biennial initiative established in 2013 to enhance Charles Darwin University’s links to the work and legacy of its namesake, Charles Darwin.

Vincent Lingiari Memorial Lecture

The Vincent Lingiari Memorial Lecture commemorates the Wave Hill Station walk-off led by Vincent Lingiari with his Gurindji people and other groups in August 1966 – a significant act by those involved as it was a catalyst for Aboriginal people, not only in the Northern Territory but across Australia, to have their rights to traditional lands recognised and for those lands to be returned.
