Susi Woolf

Lecturer, Common Units

Susi is a professional adult educator with more than 30 years experience. After 15 years as a pharmacist, both in hospitals and the community, she chose to change direction &, after completing a BA and teaching qualification, began teaching English to international, refugee and migrant students at the University of New South Wales. During this period she also contributed to the Language Teacher Education Program as a TESOL teacher trainer. She then moved to Western Sydney University lecturing and coordinating units in the Master of TESOL and Bachelor of Adult Education as well as lecturing on the Bridging Program for Overseas Trained Doctors. From 2010 at UTS, Susi was a coordinator and lecturer in the Faculty of Arts and Social Science on the Bachelor of Adult Education. She also designed, developed and delivered the Communications Skills Training for the first year Master of Pharmacy Program. She is also an experienced workplace coach and trainer. Since 2013, Susi has been a lecturer at CDU Sydney Campus, lecturing in the Tertiary Enabling Program and Common Units.

Areas of teaching expertise

Susi is a passionate teacher with wide experience, firstly in the language classroom, as a language facilitator and then as a TESOL teacher trainer. She has also been a workplace English teacher, corporate trainer, cultural diversity trainer and lecturer/coordinator in various subjects at UNSW, WSU, UTS and CDU.
