Revolution: New work celebrating 20 years of printmaking at Yirrkala Print Space

The Revolution suite of 20 etchings was recently acquired by the CDU Art Collection through the CDU Foundation in 2015.

The suite commemorates and celebrates 20 years of printmaking at the Yirrkala Print Studio by Buku-Larrngay Mulka Artists. Since it's inception, the Yirrkala Print Studio has become a highly respected and independent print studio which proudly employs and trains local Yolngu artists.

Revolution features 20 artists ranging from well-established elders to emerging young artists including:

Banduk Marika, Dhuwarrwarr Marika, Marrnyula Munungurr, Nongirrnga Marawili, Nyapanyapa Yunupingu, Baluka Maymuru, Nawurapu Wunungmurra , Yumutjin Wunungmurra, Yalpi Yunupingu, Barayuwa Mununggurr, Rerrkirrwanga Mununggurr, Galuma Wirrpanda, Mulkun Wirrpanda, Nongirrnga Marawili, Djhalinda Yunupingu, Manini Gumana, Malaluba Gumana, Gunybi Ganambarr, Garawan Wanambi, Wukun Wanambi, Burrthi Marika.
