Purpose

To enable the recording and maintenance of Advanced Standing Subsystem control and default data

This form is used to record control and default data used by other forms in the Subsystem. There are four fields and three check boxes. Each is described in detail under Advanced Standing Reference Data.

The Create Advanced Standing Details form (ADVF4200) uses:

• The Expiry Date Increment to calculate the Expiry Date of each approved Advanced Standing record in the Unit details and Unit Level details screens
• The Default Basis Institution to default the most common value into the Basis Details - Institution field in order to reduce data entry effort
• The Default Major Exemption Institution to default a value into the Major Exemption Institution fields when there are no unit or unit level records from which to derive it

The Unit Deletion Cut-Off Date Alias is used in conjunction with the Census Date and granted date to identify a date after which units for which Advanced Standing has been granted can no longer be automatically deleted.

The Advanced Standing Configuration block contains:

• Expiry Date Increments (Months)
• Unit Deletion Cut-Off Date Alias
• Default Basis Institution
• Default Major Exemption Institution
• Count Duplicate Units As Advanced Standing check box
• Include Advanced Standing in ARTS return check box
• Not Transferrable check box

To record Advanced Standing Subsystem Configuration data using the Maintain Advanced Standing Configuration Details form:

• Enter Insert mode
• Enter valid data in each field (or select from the list of values where available)
• Save

Rules/Notes:

This data is entered once. It is then maintained by modifying existing data.

If the Not Transferable check box is selected, then any source with a Default Basis Institution of '3030' will not be able to be transferred.

To modify Advanced Standing Subsystem Configuration data using the Maintain Advanced Standing Configuration Details form:

• Modify the required fields
  (CAUTION: This data would usually be set up at the time of System installation. Unit Deletion Cut-Off Date would not normally be changed. The recommended Default Major Exemption Institution would not normally be changed.)
• Save
