The purpose of this function is to maintain Government Scholarship Types

This form is used to maintain Government Scholarship Types. This is due to the introduction of DEST data element 487 - Scholarship Type Code, which needs to be reported in the Liability Status File. These government values need to be mapped to user defined Scholarship Types in RESF31A0 - Maintain Scholarship Types. This form includes a button that navigates to RESF31A0 and queries all user-defined Scholarship Types mapped to the context Government Scholarship Type.

  • Government Scholarship Type
  • Description
  • Closed Check box

Rules/Notes:

The following are examples of Government Scholarship Types:

  • 0: Not a scholarship indicated below.
  • 1: Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) Scheme.
  • 2: International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) Scheme.

The Scholarship Type navigation button links to form RESF31A0 (Maintain Scholarship Types)

To create a new Government Scholarship type:

  • Enter Insert mode
  • Enter the new code in the Government Scholarship Type field of a blank record
  • Enter the corresponding description for the Government Scholarship type in the Description field
  • Save

To modify a Government Scholarship type:

  • Find the record to be modified
  • Modify the record as required
  • Save

Rules/Notes:

Once in use, a Government Scholarship type should not be modified.

Cannot close a Government Scholarship Type that is mapped to an open user-defined Scholarship type.

To delete a Government Scholarship type:

  • Find the record to be deleted
  • Locate the cursor in the record to be deleted
  • Delete record
  • Save

Rules/Notes:

Cannot delete a Government Scholarship Type that is mapped to an open user-defined Scholarship type.
