Concession Types

This function allows administrators to record details of the various types of concession that can be granted to a person. For example, Aged Pension.

Concession Types are used during the Fee Assessment of VET and Advanced Standing fees to determine which fee cap applies and the amount a student is required to pay in fees. (See Understanding Student Finance.)

Concession Types can be used in setting up fee caps and Fee Assessment rates, and can be defined as a Person Concession.

This form is accessed via the Main Menu.

It is possible to create multiple versions of the same Concession Type.

The Concession Types block contains:

• Government Concession Type (LOV)
• Closed check box
• Comments
• Explanation

Rules/Notes:

A Concession Type must be unique, and must include a description.

The Government Concession Type field is used to associate a Government Concession Code to the institution-defined Concession Type.

A CLOSED Concession Type cannot be modified.
