GENF0002 - Maintain System Error

Purpose

To customise the messages displayed for System Errors in pop-up alert boxes

This form is used by a System Specialist to customise the Error Messages displayed to users in pop-up alert windows.

Where a User Error Message is recorded for an error, it will display in the pop-up alert window. An extra button, 'Help', will also be displayed. Selecting this button displays the original System Error Message.

Where a User Explanation is recorded for an error, selecting the Help button will display this extra information.

Alert messages other than those related to System Errors are maintained using the Maintain System Message form (GENF0003).

 

The System Error block contains:

  • Error
  • Error Number
  • Error Id
  • System Error Message
  • User Error Message
  • User Explanation
  • Alert check box
