System Edge Configuration

Tribal Edge is a cloud-based Student Information System (SIS). Through its underlying interfaces, data structures and embedded analytics it enables value-add solutions to be accessed and used by Callista users. However for the communication between Callista SMS and Edge to work some configuration is required.

This form is used to configure items required for communication between Callista SMS and Edge. These items include the Base URL of the Edge Instance relating to the Callista SMS installation, any proxy details, and it accepts passwords and encrypts them before storing them.

This form allows the editing of the initial system record that is delivered. No additional records can be created and the record cannot be deleted.
Note that SECF0100 – Maintain LDAP Configuration also forms part of the Edge Configuration since LDAP is used to authenticate and authorise users when they log into Edge. This is achieved via the smsauthenticate and smsuserinfo web services.

This form is accessed via the Callista SMS menu.
