The following are examples of Government Country Codes:

• 8201: Argentina
• 2301: Austria
• 7101: Bangladesh
• 3201: Albania

Explanation

This form is used to record and maintain the set of Government Country Codes. Universities are required to report to government, for each student, their countries of birth (E346), permanent residence country -where not Australia (E658) and semester residence country -where not Australia (E661). Where a set of user-defined Country Codes has been defined (ENRF0120), each must be mapped to its corresponding Government Country Code.

To create a new Government Country Code record using the Maintain Government Country Codes form:

• Enter Insert mode
• Enter the new Country Code in the Govt Country Code field of a blank record
• Enter the corresponding description for the Country Code in the Description field
• Save

To delete a Government Country Code record using the Maintain Government Country Codes form:

• Find the record to be deleted
• Locate the cursor in the record to be deleted
• Delete record
• Save

Rules/Notes:

A Government Country Code cannot be deleted if it has been assigned to a user defined Country Code. It can be closed, preventing any further use, by selecting the Closed check box.

To modify a Government Country Code record using the Maintain Government Country Codes form:

• Find the record to be modified
• Modify the record as required
• Save

Rules/Notes:

A Government Country Code can only be modified where the change is to correct an incorrectly entered description.
