The purpose of this form is to maintain Government Study Reason Codes. Government Study Reason Codes are mapped to institution-defined values (in ENRF01X0) and are recorded for Student Course Attempts (in ENRF3000).

Study Reason Codes are reported the government as element 575 in the VET Course Admission Data group and reported in the NAT00120 Enrolment File (see STAJ8005).)

The following are examples of Government Study Reason Identifiers for government reporting.

* Note: For AVETMISS reporting, permitted values for 'NOT SPECIFIED' are '@@' or no value (i.e. null).

Rules/Notes:

The Study Reason Identifier navigation button links to form ENRF01X0 (Maintain Study Reason Identifiers) where institution-defined values are created and maintained.

To create a new Government Study Reason Identifier:

• Enter Insert mode.
• Enter the new code in the Government Study Reason Identifier field of a blank record.
• Enter the corresponding description for the Government Study Reason Identifier in the Description field.
• Save.

To modify a Government Study Reason Identifier:

• Find the record to be modified.
• Modify the record as required.
• Save

Rules/Notes:

Once in use, a Government Study Reason Identifier should not be modified, however the description can be changed.

Cannot close a Government Study Reason Identifier that is mapped to an open user-defined Study Reason Identifier.

To delete a Government Study Reason Identifier:

• Find the record to be deleted.
• Locate the cursor in the record to be deleted.
• Delete record.
• Save.

Rules/Notes:

A Government Study Reason Identifier cannot be deleted if it has been used in a Study Reason Identifier record. It can be closed preventing any further use by selecting the Closed check box.
