STAF1132 - Maintain Government Scholarship Status

Purpose To allow the creation and maintenance of Government Scholarship Status codes for Commonwealth Learning Scholarships

This form is used to record and maintain Government Scholarship Status codes for Commonwealth Learning Scholarships (CLS). The information entered in this form is used by SCHF0350 (Maintain Scholarship Status) to map a Government Scholarship Status to each institution defined Scholarship Status. Commonwealth Scholarship Status Codes are reported for Element 526 in the Commonwealth Scholarships extension for the HE Students Data Group

This form can be accessed from the main menu.

The following Government Scholarship Statuses have been defined:

Code Meaning
1 Student has a current Commonwealth Learning Scholarship
2 Student has a deferred Commonwealth Learning Scholarship
3 Student has a terminated Commonwealth Learning Scholarship
7 Student has been offered a Commonwealth Scholarship

 

The Government Scholarship Status block contains:

  • Govt Scholarship Status
  • Description
  • Closed check box

Rules/Notes:

The Scholarship Status button links to SCHF0350 (Maintain Scholarship Status)

To create a new Government Scholarship Status:

  • Enter Insert mode
  • Enter the new Government Scholarship Status in the Govt Scholarship Status field of a blank record
  • Enter the corresponding description for the Government Scholarship Status in the Description field
  • Check the closed check box if required
  • Save

 

 

To modify a Government Scholarship Status record:

  • Find the record to be modified
  • Modify the record as required
  • Save

 

Rules/Notes:

A Government Scholarship Status can only be modified where the change is to correct an incorrectly entered description.

To delete a Government Scholarship Status record:

  • Find the record to be deleted
  • Locate the cursor in the record to be deleted
  • Delete record
  • Save

Rules/Notes:

A Government Scholarship Status cannot be deleted if it has been assigned to a institution defined Scholarship Status. It can be closed, preventing any further use, by selecting the Closed check box.
