Structure Block Maintain Entitlement Position

This form is used to relate Entitlement Statuses to the percentage of entitlement used for an Entitlement Type.

The context determines how the entitlement is measured and specifies a point in time.
CURRENT - Measures the Entitlement position at the 'As At' date.

ENROLMENT - Takes into account the student's current enrolment.
COURSE - Takes into account what is required for the student to finish current courses.

Prior to 2021, CHESSN and Entitlement data was provided by the government's Higher Education Information Management System (HEIMS), however from 2021 this process will be performed by the government's Tertiary Collection of Student  Information (TCSI) system.

To switch from HEIMS to TCSI derivation of CHESSNs and entitlements, an administrator must set the CLOSED_IND to 'Y' for the HEIMS record in the S_CHESSN_CRTN_MTHD table and the TCSI record to 'N' in that table.

Prior to switching from HEIMS to TCSI, the available Entitlement Types are SLE, FEE-HELP, SCH-ORDNRY, SCH-ASSOCT, SCH-ENBLNG, SCH-INDGNS, OS-HELP.

When Institutions have switched from HEIMS to TCSI, the available Entitlement Types are OS-HELP, HELP-PEND & HELP-AVAIL.

For HEIMS derived CHESSNs and entitlements: CURRENT, ENROLLED and COURSE System Entitlement Check Contexts are available for SLE entitlements but only CURRENT is available for all other Entitlement Types.
For TCSI derived CHESSNs and entitlements: Only the CURRENT System Entitlement Check Context is available for HELP-PEND, HELP-AVAIL and OS-HELP Entitlements
.

Entitlement Statuses are related to Status Outcome Types (NONE, WARNING or CRITICAL) in ADMF0390, so Status Outcome Types are determined by the Entitlement Status selected.
In the above example, if NONE is the Status Outcome Type for Entitlement Status GOOD, then no warnings will display for a student if their FEE-HELP percentage is 50% or less. If WARNING is the Status Outcome Type for Entitlement Status RISK, then a warning will display for a student if their FEE-HELP percentage is more than 50%.

The warnings described above will appear in ADMF3240, ENRF3000 and ADMF32W0 for those applicants. The entitlement position may also be used in the configurable view to indicate entitlement position. That configurable view will appear in: ADMF3000, ENRF3000 and ADMF32W0.

The Status Outcome Text for an Entitlement position can be overridden if text more specific to the Entitlement Position record is required. This is the text to be delivered in the messages to the user.

This form may be reached directly from the Callista menu.
