Competition – What do you see that others don’t? (June 2018)

COMPETITION PERIOD

Entries will be accepted during the period from 8.30am – 5.30pm (Northern Territory Local Time) on Saturday 23rd June 2018 and Saturday 30th June 2018.

METHOD OF ENTRY

To enter, participants will need to complete their personal details on the entry postcard and answer the question ‘We know some people see the world in a unique way, often seeing solutions that others don’t. Tell us what you see yourself achieving in your chosen field.’

ELIGIBLE ENTRY

Entrants must be over 14 years of age and the postcard must be completed in legible handwriting. CDU members of staff and current students can enter the competition, however those who are receiving entries while on duty at the competition activations cannot. Where an entrant is unable to complete their answer or personal details in legible handwriting, a CDU staff member (if available) can complete the entrant's postcard through dictation of their answer.

  • Only one entry per person per day is valid.
  • By lodging your contact details, you agree that you have read the terms and conditions that form a part of this competition.
  • Entries placed outside the competition period, as stated in these terms and conditions, will not be valid.
  • Charles Darwin University, in its absolute discretion, reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, or submits an entry that is not in accordance with these conditions of entry.
  • If for any reason this game of skill is not capable of running as planned as a result of (including but not limited to) technical failures, unauthorised intervention, fraud or any other causes beyond the control of Charles Darwin University which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this game of skill, Charles Darwin University will not be held liable in this instance.
  • Charles Darwin University reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and subject to any written directions given by the Lottery Department of the Northern Territory to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the lucky draw prize.
  • Charles Darwin University reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of identity.
  • Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of Charles Darwin University and includes but is not limited to:
    • School ID
    • Birth Certificate
    • Drivers Licence
    • Passport

NATURE AND VALUE OF THE PRIZES:

  • Three (3) winners will be judged to win one (1) of three (3) $250 Coles Group & Myer gift cards.
  • Winners will be judged on their creativity and inspiration at the discretion of the judges. Judging and announcement of the winner will take place on Wednesday, 4th July 2018.
  • No cash alternative will be provided.
  • No other prize will be available to choose from.

JUDGING ENTRIES:

  • Entries will be judged on Wednesday, 4th July 2018 at Charles Darwin University, Ellengowan Drive, Casuarina NT.
  • Winners will be notified by phone or email depending on information supplied by entrant.
  • Winners must respond to and acknowledge communication within 5 days of notification of winning prize, otherwise prize will be forfeited.
  • All valid entries will be judged and three winners will be selected based on originality, creativity and inspiration.
  • The results of the competition are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Charles Darwin University reserves the right to alter or cancel any aspect of this promotion at any time
  • By entering the competition, entrants acknowledge that Charles Darwin University reserves the right to use photos taken for promotional purposes.

  • By submitting an entry, you agree to your personal contact information being held and used by Charles Darwin University in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988.
  • Charles Darwin University may use your information to contact you for promotional purposes only. Your information will not be sold or transferred for any circumstances.
