University Security

For information on personal safety, safety on campus, or to raise a security concern, contact University Security:

For Security services at individual University sites and other assistance in an emergency, refer to Who can help in an emergency.

University Security Officers are available to escort students and staff after hours between buildings, campus car parks and local public transport points at some University sites (for information on times and sites where this service is available, contact University Security).

University Security are trained in first aid and have quick access to first aid kits should you need medical assistance. University Security are also trained first responders to any incident/emergency on campus.

Any suspicious persons or items at a University site, aggressive, inappropriate or violent behaviour, theft, break-ins, suspicious persons or items on campus, or security breaches, must be reported to University Security as soon as practicable.

Safety Emergency and Wellbeing (SEW)

For further information on safety, emergency and wellbeing matters, to report an accident, incident or injury, or to raise a health or safety concern, contact Safety Emergency and Wellbeing (located within the Office of People and Capability):

The SEW team provides support and advice on the University's overall Safety Emergency and Wellbeing program and pursues a proactive risk management approach to work health and safety issues.

SEW provides common work health and safety induction courses as well as training on specific WHS topics; conducts inspections, audits and discussions on Work Health and Safety across the University; advises on work methods or workplace design in order to accommodate members of the University community with special needs; and provides professional support to the Work Health and Safety management groups within the University.
