Pups make a meal of super sausage

By Danielle Lee-Ryder

It was sausages galore for man’s best friend thanks to CDU’s meaty donation to PAWS Darwin animal shelter.

The hungry pups and dogs feasted on 80 metres of sausage that contained 30 kg of meat.

The sausage (more than one and a half lengths of an Olympic swimming pool) was the result of a VET butchery activity at Discover CDU, which was an opportunity for the public to see first-hand what the university offers, with campus tours, informative talks, displays and interactive workshops.

The new fire training facility, barramundi feeding, 3D printing, print-making and operating a one-tonne digger were also highlights of the day.
