More milestones for The Heights, Durack

The residential subdivision in Palmerston that is being developed by Peet on land owned by CDU is achieving a host of milestones.

Work at The Heights, Durack to deliver a $3.6 million project to relocate the overhead powerlines underground is nearing completion.

New termination poles and cables have been installed and the final stage of works, which includes switching the power transmission from overhead lines to underground lines and removing the old electricity towers and overhead cables, is underway.

Construction also has started on Stage 1 of the $35 million Durack Gardens retirement living community.

The first stage comprises 16 homes built by GJ Gardner Homes, including two display homes that are expected to open mid-year.

Other milestones include the construction of the fully fitted out Community Centre complete with multi-purpose function rooms, a gymnasium, pool table, television lounge, library and a large modern kitchen.
