Territory tough staff at Charles Darwin University joined forces with Menzies School of Health Research colleagues to take on this year’s Blood Sweat and Fears marathon.

The 18 team members completed the 15 km obstacle course at Lake Bennett, Batchelor, in times ranging from three to five hours.

Team members soldiered through obstacles, such as ice baths and mud pits, to make it across the finish line.

While finishing in different times, the team united under one slogan, printed on the backs of their T-shirts: “If you’re following me, you’re last".

The event offered an opportunity for CDU and Menzies staff to develop closer ties at a time when Menzies is opening a building on Casuarina campus.
