About 285 Charles Darwin University students will be acknowledged for their academic achievements at CDU celebrations throughout the Territory this month.

Numbers have been strong in the Katherine region where 142 students are eligible to graduate.

Campus Administrator Vicki Williams said while most students had completed certificate courses from the Faculty of Vocational Education and Training, there were also 16 higher education graduates.

“We are delighted to have graduates in Teaching and Learning Early Childhood, and Behavioural Science this year,” Ms Williams said.

“We’ve also had students complete their degrees in nursing, children’s services and law, and one completed their Masters in Education.”

The presentation ceremony at Katherine will be held at the Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Cultural Centre on November 13.

Meanwhile, about 70 students at both Tennant Creek and Nhulunbuy also have completed courses this semester.

Enrolments were strong for the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment at both centres.

Hospitality was popular at Tennant Creek and the Coastal Maritime Operations Coxswain course at Nhulunbuy.

The Tennant celebration is scheduled to take place at the CDU Centre on November 11 and in Nhulunbuy at the Walkabout Lodge Hotel on November 21.
