Federal Government delegates attend roundtable at CDU

A Federal Government delegation recently took part in roundtable discussions with Charles Darwin University staff and industry and training partners during a Casuarina campus visit.

At the roundtable, participants discussed relevant skill requirements for employees in the oil and gas sector, and how to develop a sustainable workforce to support growth in the sector.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Simon Maddocks hosted the event and showed visitors state-of-the-art facilities, including the North Australian Centre for Oil and Gas facility and the new Trade Training Centre.

The Honourable Senator Simon Birmingham, Assistant Minister, Education and Training and the Honourable Natasha Griggs MP, Member for Solomon, joined the delegation at the recent event.
