Alice students set for graduation

By Patrick Nelson

Recently installed Chancellor Mr Neil Balnaves AO will make his first formal visit to Central Australia to preside over Charles Darwin University’s annual Alice Springs graduation ceremony this month.

The event on June 16 at the Alice Springs Convention Centre will mark the academic achievements of more than 400 Red Centre students from across CDU’s three faculties.

Earlier in the week, Mr Balnaves will officiate at the graduation event in Adelaide, CDU’s third formal celebration in South Australia.

The round of celebrations will also include an Indigenous Valedictory Ceremony at Alice Springs campus on June 15 where local PhD graduate Dr Josie Douglas will give the student address.

CDU is proud to have acknowledged 406 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander graduands at the six graduation celebrations that make up the mid-year round.
