A widely published accounting researcher with a passion for teaching has joined Charles Darwin University’s School of Business.

Professor Lisa McManus has taken on the position of Professor of Accounting at Casuarina campus after 13 years at Griffith University’s Gold Coast campus.

Professor McManus said she was looking forward to collaborating with the local business community through the school’s new location at the Darwin Waterfront, due for the completion in mid-2014.

“CDU’s close proximity to south-east Asia also offers huge opportunities for engagement with this important business region,” Professor McManus said.

Professor McManus has a PhD from Griffith University. Her expertise is in the area of management accounting and her current research includes performance measurement and management, accounting education and ethics, customer accounting, sponsorship investment and strata-title accountability.
