NT literary competition calls for entrants

Wordsmiths are being invited to enter the annual Northern Territory Literary Awards, which is supported by Charles Darwin University.

CDU will once again sponsor the Travel Short Story Award and the Essay Award categories of the competition, which is a Northern Territory Library initiative.

The competition aims to acknowledge the high standards of writing and the exceptional literary skills of members of the NT’s thriving writers’ community.

Winners of the CDU awards will receive up to $1000 in cash prizes along with NT Writers’ Centre memberships and masterclasses.

The competition closely aligns with CDU’s course offerings, including its major in Literary Studies.

Entries close on Friday, 6 May. For more information about the awards, visit W: nt.gov.au/leisure/arts-culture-heritage/northern-territory-literary-awards
