Staff members have been recognised for their continuous and meritorious service to Charles Darwin University at the 2014 long service awards.

A special ceremony at Casuarina campus acknowledged the 44 staff members for their tremendous dedication to the institution during their long services of employment.

Awards were given to 17 staff members for reaching their 25 or 30-year mark of employment with the institution.

Included in the recipients of the 30-year recognition award were Vocational Education and Training lecturers, Theresa Caldwell and Warren Corrick.

Twenty-two staff members received awards for serving periods of 10, 15 or 20 years with the institution.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Simon Maddocks thanked the recipients for their vast contributions to the university, and for sustaining valuable professional university knowledge during their years of service.

The awards were given to staff members who had reached their 10, 15, 20, 25 or 30-year mark of employment at CDU and its predecessor institutions, as of March 31, 2014.  A second ceremony will be held in November.
