Students attend national forum

Two Charles Darwin University students were selected to join 300 students from across the country at the recent National Student Leadership Forum in Canberra.

Psychological science student Philadelphia Hughes and law and accounting student Mark Munnich attended the four-day forum with support from the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor Indigenous Leadership.

The students sat in on Question Time at Parliament House, spoke with federal politicians, and met Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and Leader of the Opposition Bill Shorten.

Philadelphia said she was honoured to be chosen to join the select group of students at the forum.

“The experience has helped me to reflect on things in my life that I want to achieve in order to succeed,” she said.
