Graduates to celebrate at ceremonies in Darwin

The latest graduates from Charles Darwin University will take their first qualified steps after receiving their awards in front of family and friends at this year’s end-of-year graduation ceremonies in Darwin this month.

Hundreds are expected at ceremonies in the Darwin Convention Centre where they will be recognised for their achievements across higher education and vocational education and training courses.

Ceremony 1 will be held on October 17 at 11am and will recognise graduands from the Faculty of Engineering, Health, Science and the Environment, Menzies School of Health Research, along with the Faculty of Vocational Education and Training: School of Primary Industries, School of Trades and Health, Community and Children’s Services.

Ceremony 2 also will be held on October 17 at 5pm and will include the Faculty of Law, Education, Business and Arts, Australian Centre for Indigenous Knowledges and Education, along with the Faculty of Vocational Education and Training: School of Business and Service Industries.

Some 13 PhD candidates will graduate at the ceremonies.

The Occasional Address for both ceremonies will be delivered by Secretary of the Commonwealth Department of Education Lisa Paul AO PSM.
