Offices on the move at Casuarina campus

The Darwin Symphony Orchestra is moving to the Purple Precinct The Darwin Symphony Orchestra is moving to the Purple Precinct

New occupants will call the Purple Precinct home with the construction of the trade training facility at Casuarina campus.

The shift will see occupants from various areas move to the south-western precinct, including Uniprint NT, VET in Schools, the Darwin Symphony Orchestra (DSO), and ITMS Operations.

The buildings were previously used for trade training operations that have moved to the new trade training facility at Building Pink 9.

Trade training operations that have moved include plumbing, process control, instrumentation, electrical, refrigeration, crane operation, dogging and working on towers at heights.

Building Purple 4 has been repurposed for Uniprint NT, and also will partly remain a training shop for automotive painting and panel.

The VET in Schools program will be located in Building Purple 1 and the DSO has relocated to the eastern end of Building Purple 5.

Major Projects Senior Manager Ken Suter said he anticipated that ITMS Operations would occupy Building Purple 3 by early 2016.
