CDU has celebrated its outstanding Student Ambassadors at a special event on Casuarina campus.

The end-of-year celebration acknowledged their hard work and dedication in assisting the Office of Media, Advancement and Community Engagement team at school leaver recruitment activities.

Student Recruitment and Events Manager Marissa Briston said the Student Ambassadors volunteered more than 350 hours at CDU events, including Orientation Week, Open Day, school visits and expos.

“These students have helped inspire prospective students, parents and teachers to consider tertiary education,” Ms Briston said.

“The Student Ambassador program helps its participants develop their networking, communication and leadership skills, with many going on to become community leaders.”

At the celebration, Vice-Chancellor Professor Simon Maddocks presented the Student Ambassadors with framed certificates.

Information sessions about the Student Ambassador program will be held at CDU early next year. For more information, contact E: student.ambassadors@cdu.edu.au
