The Australian Pharmacy Council, the peak accreditation body for pharmacy students, has given top marks to Charles Darwin University’s first group of graduates.

The six students each received 100 per cent in the Australian Pharmacy Council’s external national exam, which audits their skills.

The average score for 2009 students nationwide was 90 per cent.

The Bachelor of Pharmacy was introduced at CDU in 2006 and the first graduates are now all employed across the NT and wider Australia.

CDU Course Co-ordinator, Associate Professor Pascale Dettwiller said she was excited to see the quality of the program recognised.

“This result is very encouraging and it has brought to light the quality of our course and the pursuit of excellence in academic and practice,” Dr Dettwiller said.
