Community welcomes The Heights, Durack

Chantal the Fairy proves popular at The Heights, Durack, welcome event, with local resident Kelly King getting into the spirit of the day

Charles Darwin University was among local organisations to welcome The Heights, Durack, residential development at a special open day for the public on September 23.

Held on the lawns of CDU's Palmerston campus, which is located directly adjacent to the development site, the community event was also supported by nearby Durack School, the City of Palmerston Council and the Palmerston Basketball Association.

With civil construction about to start, the welcome day gave interested locals an opportunity to learn more about the project and enjoy a community get together.

The Heights, Durack, represents a $450 million joint project between CIC Australia and Larrakia Development Corporation and neighbours CDU's Palmerston campus. Ultimately it will include 882 dwellings as well as parks, walking trails and bike paths as part of the project's commitment to integrate seamlessly with the existing region.
