Professional accreditation equals good news for grads

Professional accreditation is good news for
CDU students

CDU’s Graduate Diploma of Information and Knowledge Management course has received full accreditation from record managers’ professional body.

The National Board of the Records Management Association of Australasia (RMAA) has recently accredited the course, which provides professional training in records, electronic document, information, knowledge management and librarianship.

Lecturer Anastasia Govan said the RMAA professional accreditation meant that course graduates could now apply for higher level strategy positions within information and records management areas in private and public sector organisations.

“To have this industry backing gives them more credence as professionals and it really shines through on their CV when applying for jobs within the field,” Ms Govan said.

She said that while semester two enrolments for the course were already up on previous years, she hoped the accreditation would spark a further increase in student numbers.

The course is a fully external offering and has students enrolled from all parts of Australia, Scotland and the United States.
