The Conservation and Land Management course has found a new home on Casuarina campus.

Certificate II and IV classes have begun at the new location and Certificate III and Diploma classes will start in early July.

Team Leader Danie Luttig said the move from Palmerston campus would bring the course closer to its students.

“There is a bigger pool of students in Darwin who want to study conservation and land management,” Mr Luttig said.

“Conservation and Land Management, and Horticulture are both part of the School of Primary Industries and deliver various common units. The teams will be able to deliver classes in collaboration, saving time, resources and lecturers.”

Mr Luttig said relocating the course to Casuarina campus would also build a closer relationship with related higher education disciplines to enhance pathways from Vocational Education and Training (VET) into Higher Education.

The VET Conservation and Land Management course is located at Building 8, Pink Precinct, Casuarina campus.
