Fields of study
Environmental Science at CDU gives you many options. Choose to specialise in the areas of biodiversity and conservation, eco-cultural resource management, landscape and spatial ecology, or water and catchments.
We also offer a science degree that will provide opportunities across a wide range of disciplines, including biological science, biomedical science, chemical science and applied science.

Our flexible and supportive approach allows you to undertake courses externally, on campus or both. We can help you to align comprehensive studies with competing life demands.

Intensives
Extend your studies to the field locally and internationally.
Environment field studies allow you to conduct research and gain practical experience within some of Australia’s most spectacular and diverse regions. You can also go international with your studies. Some of our units are located in the spectacular regions of Indonesia, Brazil and the Galapagos Islands.
We encourage you to take the opportunity to build professional, technical and other skills (such as teamwork, cross-cultural and communication skills) by including intensives in your study plan. Talk to your course coordinator.
Honours
Bachelor of Science (Honours) provides you with your first opportunity to carry out in-depth research into a topic of your choice. It's a challenging and exciting year where you'll develop the advanced analytical and research skills necessary for a future career in research, government and industry.
