To gain the most out of your contact with staff, in Equity Services, it is helpful to:

  • Keep to your scheduled appointment time;
  • Inform us if you are going to be late or need to cancel/re-schedule your appointment;
  • Make a note of the issues that you would like to discuss with staff;
  • Realise that your concerns are important and that you are not alone in your student journey.  It is easier to address issues before they grow and potentially have a negative impact on your ability to study.

In consultation with staff you will have the opportunity to:

  • Identify and clarify your concerns;
  • Explore options;
  • Develop plans or strategies;
  • Receive information about relevant external organisations and resources;
  • Obtain supporting documentation (where appropriate).
