Each placement unit has the following unit-specific documents:
Requirements: Outlines the specific placement requirements for the student.
Guidelines: Provides details about daily and weekly progress requirements.
Interim report: Completed by the mentor at the mid-point of the placement. The signed report is emailed by the PST, with their mentor(s) copied to the email, to the PST’s Unit Coordinator for review and assessment of progress. This report provides the opportunity to initiate any relevant professional learning discussions or Targeted Support Plans in consultation and collaboration with the unit lecturer. Note: EPR100 does not have an interim report as it is a five day placement.
Final report: Completed by the mentor at the end of the professional experience placement. The signed report is emailed by the PST, with their mentor(s) copied to the email, to the PST’s Unit Coordinator for review and confirmation of successful completion of the placement.
All documents should be provided by the preservice teacher to their mentor prior to, or on the first day of placement for ongoing planning and discussion.
