Dr. Aly de Groot
|Open to||Students only|
Join us for free and fun, weaving wellness workshops with Darwin-based Fibre Artist and CDU Alumna, Dr. Aly de Groot. All participants will learn to weave a basket using recycled materials as well as locally harvested plant fibres. The rhythm and repetition involved in basket weaving are known to calm the mind and release stress from the body. Slow crafts such as basket making give us a well-needed break from the digital world, allowing us to relax, create and converse.
Light refreshments will be provided.
