TLR MOE

Teaching Learning Research MOE

In recognition of the requirement for staff in Teaching, Learning, and Research focused roles to actively pursue new and innovative solutions, ITMS has developed a less restrictive computer environment that allows for self-installation, configuration, and testing of software and attached hardware for continual improvement in Teaching, Learning, and Research outcomes.

The Teaching Learning Research MOE  (MOE TLR), based on the Windows 7 Operating System, is less restrictive than the CDU Staff MOE 7 for the purpose of allowing flexibility with Teaching, Learning and Research activities (such as software testing for teaching periods throughout the academic year).

The MOE TLR still has the robustness of centrally managed policy, anti-virus and “Install CDU Software”. Coupled to this is the ability for users to tailor the environment to the needs and requirements of an area of discipline at a time of need, without a separate elevated privileges account, regardless of when the need arises (e.g. before/during/after normal support hours).
