Site Wide Enterprise Wireless

Wireless access to the CDU network and the internet is available from most locations across ALL CDU campuses. Due to the nature of wireless it is not possible to guarantee that the occasional black spot will not exist, however, ITMS have gone to great lengths to ensure that these are at a minimum.

ITMS provides two distinct wireless networks, one for Staff, and one for Students. Both employ strict authentication and encryption services ensuring secure data communications.

Through our partnership with Australia’s Academic and Research Network (aarnet) the eduroam wireless network is also available. eduroam provides a secure and privacy-preserving high speed, roaming broadband connection. Staff and students can connect to the internet using wireless networks at participating institutions in over 54 countries globally. This is a reciprocal service that is free-of-charge to users.

All that is required to gain access is a wireless capable device (laptops, smart phones, or other mobile devices), and a valid CDU username and password.
