Web VPN and AnyConnect

To access CDU Corporate applications or File shares from a computer that does not have the CDU Cisco VPN client installed, there are 2 options.

  • Web Access
  • Anyconnect

Below is further information on using these two methods

Web access is available by connecting your favourite Internet browser to one of the following internet addresses (urls):

https://corporatevpn.cdu.edu.au (Corporate Applications)

https://cduvpn.cdu.edu.au (Files and Share access)


Corporate

The main corporate applications are selectable from a list, as shown below. Other applications can be accessed by either entering the relevant url in the "Address" bar and clicking "Browse", or by browsing to an appropriate web page link.

You can also install the AnyConnect VPN Client (3) but you still need to insert the url "cduvpn.edu.au" once the client has started.


Files

Choose "Browse Networks" on the left side menu. (1)

To access you H drive click either of the links (2)

To access corporate network drives type staff-cas in the "Address bar" (3) and click "Browse".

You can also access your H: drive by typing staff-cas/users$/YourUserName in the "Address bar" and click "Browse". (you might be asked to login to access the contents)

Note: Staff not based at Casuarina may need to use one of the following formats: staff-asp/ausers$/YourUserName or staff-kth/kusers$/YourUserName.
Replace YourUserName with your normal CDU username.


You can install AnyConnect from the Web Interface.

Once installed AnyConnect can be started from the "Start">"All Programs" menu as shown below.

The first time you run it you will need to enter either

  • cduvpn.cdu.edu.au
  • cducorporate.cdu.edu.au

Then login in with your CDU username and password.

The status of the connection can be checked by clicking on the "Show Hidden icons" button in the lower right hand side of your screen, near the clock.
