When coming into any of our campus libraries, please bring a mask in case you can't physically distance from people you don't know.

FAQs about Library services and COVID-19.

Is the Library open?

Yes. The campus Libraries at Alice Springs, Casuarina, Palmerston and Sydney are all open.

The Library is committed to providing a safe space for everyone. Please bring a mask in case you can't be more than 1.5 metres away from someone you don't know.

What Library services and resources are still offered?

Access to all of our print collections and spaces is available at the moment.

CDU Library is well organised to deliver the resources you need online. The majority of our resources are electronic and can be accessed wherever you are. Need help with eBooks?

In addition to online resources, we have well-established online support. Check out our Subject guides if you want some assistance with finding resources for your assessment or our Referencing guide if you need to work on your references.

You can book a Librarian for a 20 minute consultation if you need further help with searching for resources and referencing your assignments.

You can also book time with Language and Learning Advisor if you need assistance with English language skills, writing and presentation skills, understanding assignments and a whole range of other exam and study skills.

What is the Library doing in response to COVID-19?
  • There is a range of signs in the Library with information about how to stay safe through social distancing and good personal hygiene.
  • We have hand sanitiser placed near the entrances to all CDU Libraries and on each level of the Library at the Casuarina campus.
  • The bathroom amenities are well stocked with paper towels and soap.
  • The university has arranged for the contracted cleaners to wipe down all equipment and desks with sanitising spray as part of their daily routine.
I'm in quarantine and can't return my books, what can I do?

If you wish to extend your loan, access your Library account and renew your items, this should build in enough time to cover your quarantine period. If you are unsuccessful, contact us.

How do I return my books if the Library is closed?

Each of our campus Libraries has an after-hours return chute. You can return items there anytime.
