Lee Skertchly

Coordinator / Lecturer in Communications

Lee Skertchly has been a lecturer in Business and Communication at Charles Darwin University since 1989.

Prior to her academic career, she spent many years in industry and the public service in Western Australia.

Lee has a broad understanding of organisational communication and management, having held former senior management positions at CDU as Associate Dean, School of Vocational and Access Studies, Associate Dean, School of Business, Tourism and Hospitality and Dean of the Faculty of Foundation Studies.

Lee has a wide interest in Adult Literacy and Communication and has represented the Northern Territory on a Ministerial Literacy Sub-group and many National Curriculum Development Committees over many years. She has been a former member of the National Heads of Business Studies.

Lee’s particular interest is the ever increasing new technological changes to communication and its challenges for successful implementation in future teaching.

Academic Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment Diploma in Education (Adult) Bachelor of
  • Education Master of Education (Training and Development) from New England University
