Sonya Mackenzie

Program Manager

Sonya Mackenzie is a Program Manager with the Centre for School Leadership and works within the niche markets of coaching and mentoring as well as team development and project management.

Sonya has a 20 year career working in the field of education both in the Northern Territory and Queensland, ten of which have focussed on adult learners including educational leaders, teachers and trainers for commercial and public sector organisations.

In addition to her role with the Centre for School Leadership, Sonya is recognised internationally as a Training Associate with Thinking Collaborative: Cognitive Coaching collegial coaching methodology and as a Senior Training Consultant with contracts working in Australia and the United Kingdom where she delivers courses and works as an executive coach.

Sonya has extensive experience of Learning and Development having developed, led and evaluated a broad range of programs for educators and corporate staff. Her areas of expertise include seminar facilitation, executive and peer coaching, leadership, program and project management, group/team development, plus a range of trainer initiatives and continuous professional development programs.

Sonya holds a Bachelor of Education: Further Education and Training and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology. She is currently completing a Masters of Education International with a focus on the development of coaching cultures within education systems and organisations.  Sonya holds various other professional qualifications including Training Associate: Cognitive Coaching, Executive Coach: Growth Coaching International, Certified Facilitator and Coach for EQi-2.0 and EQ360 (Emotional Intelligence Assessment), Certificate IV Training and Assessment and Certificate IV Career Development. Sonya is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and the Australia and New Zealand Institute of Coaching (ANZIC).
