The Larrakeyah Branch of the National Trust NT, together with the Historical Society NT wish to invite you to our third talk for 2016.

The presentation will be held on Friday 27 May 2016 at 6pm, with drinks and nibbles available from 5.30pm.

Our guest speaker is Dr. Clayton Fredericksen.

The title of Clayton's talk is: Fort Dundas, Melville Island: First British Settlement in Northern Australia.

Dr. Fredericksen has qualifications in archaeology from the University of Auckland and the Australian National University and was a lecturer in archaeology for some years at Charles Darwin University.

In the late 1990s and early 2000 he conducted a series of excavations at the site of Fort Dundas. He maintains an interest in history and archaeology of northern Australia and is currently editor of the Historical Society of the Northern Territory Journal 'Northern Territory Historical Studies'.

The venue:  Burnett House, 4 Burnett Place, Myilly Point, Larrakeyah.

Cost: $2 for members of either National Trust or the Historical Society and $5 for non-members.
