Workshops are being held with stakeholders across the Territory to identify and consider the best ideas for the new Aboriginal Contracting Framework.

What is the Aboriginal Contracting Framework?
The NT Government is developing a new Aboriginal Contracting Framework (ACF) that will support Aboriginal employment and business opportunities in the Territory, for the benefit of all Territorians. The ACF will allow government to leverage its contracting activities, including procurement, grants, capital infrastructure and infrastructure maintenance activities, to support these objectives.

We want the development of the new Aboriginal Contracting Framework to be achieved through stakeholder involvement, and by incorporating a range of expertise and ideas. Industry, business, Aboriginal and NGO stakeholders are invited to participate in workshops so government can consider the best ideas for the Framework.

We are committed to listening to ideas, keeping the community, industry and stakeholders informed, and providing feedback on how the input received has influenced decisions. The workshops are an opportunity for stakeholders to feed their ideas back to government for its consideration in the design of the new Framework.
