Target audience:  CDU staff & student event only

It targets HDR Students and Research Staff and, amongst other things, will explain:

  • what copyright is, and when you need to seek permissions to use work created by others in your thesis or publication
  • the permissions that you will need to obtain from the publisher to include articles in a PhD by Publication
  • the concepts of Fair Dealing, Moral Rights and Public Domain
  • how to interpret Publisher Agreements
  • how Creative Commons licences work

Please bring along examples of any copyright issues you may be facing.  Individual appointments are available immediately after the Workshop.

The Workshop will be facilitated by Anthony Hornby, CDU Copyright Officer and Director, Library Services.
