Over the last 20 years, Indigenous industry has grown exponentially. In 1991, only 4,000 Indigenous workers were self-employed or working in business. Today that number is 20,000, with further growth expected.
Now it’s time for Indigenous entrepreneurs to take the next step.
Leaders within Indigenous industry are already doing this by investing in initiatives that strengthen culture, support community, and build capacity. The 2nd annual Indigenous Economic Development Summit (26-28 May, Darwin) has been built in collaboration with these leaders to ensure delegates walk away with practical takeaways that they can use to grow their own businesses and communities.
If you’re an established or aspiring Indigenous businessperson, or if you work in Indigenous business engagement, then please join us in Darwin to hear from some of Australia’s most successful First Nations entrepreneurs, network with prospective business partners, and start yourself on a path towards greater economic and cultural prosperity.
