Abstract: Presenting the results of two recently published studies – the first a multinational RCT examining the effectiveness of widely used intravenous and oral treatments to prevent acute kidney injury; and the second a national in-depth interview study exploring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients with kidney disease views about their treatment options. Both studies, using different methodologies and exploring different questions, are of direct relevance to health care delivery in the NT. Looking at how the Menzies renal program is collaborating with service providers, government and community organisations to address priority research questions.
