What assists Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to quit smoking - “Lessons from Talking About The Smokes”

Abstract: Talking About the Smokes is a large national research project to better understand the pathways to smoking and quitting for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and to evaluate what works in assisting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to quit smoking.

Biography: Professor Thomas is the Head of Wellbeing and Preventable Chronic Diseases Division. He established and has led the Tobacco Control Research Program at Menzies since 2007. Read more about his work here.
