Yolŋu Matha is spoken in East Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory. Djambarrpuyŋu is one of the Yolŋu Matha languages, is spoken by 1.4% of the Northern Territory population and is the second language of many Yolŋu. Grace Tongatua brings you the latest edition of the Djambarrpuyŋu children’s dictionary. Over 10 years in the making Grace has not only compiled the dictionary but drawn and painted its nearly 300 illustrations.
Grace has a Graduate Certificate in Yolngu Studies (CDU) and is currently completing a Bachelor of Indigenous Languages at Charles Darwin University.
